MANTIS was engineered to address the critical gaps in modern API infrastructure, where traditional signature-based firewalls struggle to detect complex, distributed behavioral anomalies.

The architecture is split into two specialized components: a high-performance Node.js API Gateway that handles inline payload validation and request throttling, and an asynchronous Python threat engine that runs advanced heuristic and Machine Learning analysis.

By leveraging an ensemble voting mechanism, MANTIS dynamically assesses risk scores in real-time, effectively mitigating sophisticated attacks like zero-day SQL injections, Server-Side Request Forgery, and automated reconnaissance without introducing latency to legitimate traffic.
